Want “proof” of our evolution from apes, with their prehensile feet? Try putting an object against the sole of the foot of a baby, under 12 months let’s say. They will instinctively, reflexively try to grasp the object with their foot, but fail because we no longer have prehensile toes. This isn’t proof of course, but it seems like pretty good real-world evidence to me!
No children were harmed in the course of this study. Or eaten.
